Dr. Jennifer Ratner PT, DPT, MS, OCS
Jennifer, owner of Ratner Center for Physical Therapy and Wellness, was born and raised here in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Paschal High School and went on to attend the University of Arizona obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. Her passion for physical therapy started while in college where she volunteered in a physical therapy clinic, and she hasn’t looked back since. To further her education and fuel her love for the profession, Jennifer went on to receive her post graduate degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1999, a Post-Professional Master of Science from Texas Women’s University in 2007 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2009. She became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2006 and re-certified her Orthopedic Board Certification in 2016.
As the physical therapy world is consistently evolving, Jennifer knows that to best serve her patients she must evolve right along with it. She has continued her education throughout the years by completing numerous courses in manual therapy, kinesiotaping, vestibular rehabilitation as well as becoming an ASTYM certified provider.
Aside from Jen’s long list of physical therapy knowledge and education, she genuinely has a love and passion for helping others overcome obstacles. Her passion to make a difference in the lives of her patients is felt all throughout the clinic and exemplified by the work that she performs and the results she obtains. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, along with golfing, traveling, scuba diving, water skiing, snow skiing and relaxing on the beach.
Dr. Kelsey Bagwell PT, DPT, ATC – Clinic Manager
Kelsey has a passion to help individuals reach functional goals by helping facilitate the body to work as it is designed by restoring function, strength, mobility, etc. She is a runner and has always admired how resilient the body can be when trained. Having been to PT, due to overuse injuries, Kelsey developed a passion and interest in Physical Therapy from an early age. Kelsey attended Harding University in Searcy, AR, graduating in 2016 with her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. She is a board-certified Athletic Trainer. Kelsey stayed at Harding University to pursue her graduate studies, earning a doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019.
Kelsey is from Marietta, GA, and moved to the DFW area after completing PT school. She has worked in the DFW area ever since. Kelsey is married and lives in Azle, TX, with her husband Dillon. Outside of clinic care Kelsey enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading books, traveling, hiking, and working on home projects.
Dan Teekel PTA
Technical Manager
Dan’s interest in physical therapy came as the result of three bulging discs in his neck along with the debilitating pain and weakness that followed. Determined to avoid surgery at all costs, he spent hours each day stretching strengthening and researching as much as possible to figure out the best non-surgical road to recovery. As a personal trainer living in the Middle East for 5 years, he began to incorporate what he learned during his own recovery into his clients’ sessions. This led to serving individuals with disabilities in remote desert villages with training to increase strength, function and independence. Fourteen years after earning a Bachelor of Science Dan returned to school in pursuit of an Associate of Applied Science at Weatherford college to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Dan and his wife have been married for 20+ years and have three teenagers. He enjoys ninja warrior training and playing bass and percussion at their church. He is passionate about acquiring new knowledge and skills to help his patients.
Dr. Joseph Kirkman DPT, OCS, CSCS, FDN
Dr. Joseph Kirkman was raised in Thornton, Colorado until he joined the Air Force in 1990. Dr. Kirkman served 30 years in the Air force and retired in June 2020. He completed his Bachelor in physical therapy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1999 and earned his Doctor in Physical Therapy St. Scholastica University in 2010.
Dr. Kirkman has 24 years of experience as a physical therapist and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator. He also practices High-Velocity Low Amplitude spinal and extremity manipulation, dry needling, and Blood Flow Restriction.
Dr. Kirkman and his wife bought their retirement home in Weatherford, and he began working at Ratner Physical Therapy in May 2023.
In his spare time Dr. Kirkman enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, working on his Jeep, camping, hunting, and fishing.
Lisa Mocek PT
Lisa, a native of Fort Worth, has been a practicing physical therapist for the past 17 years. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 2004 with her Master of Physical Therapy. She has worked in outpatient and home health settings. Lisa is dedicated to continuing her education of evidence-based practice to provide her patients with current, compassionate, and individualized patient care to help them achieve their goals.
Lisa is married and has two daughters and a dog. She enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Tucker Swanson DPT
Tucker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from The University of Mississippi in 2017. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. Tucker’s interest in physical therapy started from a young age, after rehabbing a shoulder injury from playing baseball when he was 14. Ever since that experience he developed a fascination with biomechanics and optimizing range of motion and strength. Most of his experience is in the general outpatient setting with a particular interest in providing the highest quality exercise prescription for each individual patient. He plans to pursue further education in dry needling and to attain his certification in strength and conditioning to further improve his ability to prescribe exercise to patients. It is important for Tucker to connect with his patients and build an individual plan to meet their specific goals. In his free time Tucker loves to hike, lift weights, watch Ole Miss football, train for triathlons, and spend time with family.
Dr. Rachel Fair DPT
Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2017. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX, in 2020. Rachel enjoys helping all people and diagnoses, with most of her experience in the general outpatient and home health settings. She understands there is no one-size-fits-all treatment, so she will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan to get you back to doing what you love the most. Rachel is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and will utilize this treatment approach if appropriate. Rachel enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, reading, and working out in her garage gym in her free time!
Dr. Tyler Truitt DPT
Tyler received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas Tech University in 2012. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, Tx in 2016. Most of Tyler’s experience is in general outpatient physical therapy. He enjoys rehabbing general orthopedic diagnosis, working with athletes, and getting the Weekend Warriors back to pain free participation in all their hobbies. He enjoys meeting new people and developing specialized programs to meet their individual needs. Staying active, improving movement, and enhancing general health are foundational components to his philosophy in treatment and lifestyle. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time with family, hunting, riding mountain bikes, and training in Brazilian Jui Jitsu.
Dr. Heather Danielson PT, DPT
Heather was born and raised in Texas. She attended Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health in 2013. She then went on to Angelo State University where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Since graduating PT school, Heather has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting. She enjoys working in outpatient where she can treat a variety of patients of different ages and needs.
In 2018 she earned her certificate in Dry Needling to have another treatment tool to offer her patients. Heather’s goal is to make sure each patient feels comfortable and taken care of in the clinic while receiving high quality care. She is passionate about empowering patients to attain their goals by utilizing knowledge, hands on treatment, and proper exercise prescription.
Heather currently lives in Fort Worth with her husband and two dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, watching sports, and staying active.
Dr. Sarah Goolsbee PT, DPT
Sarah received her Bachelors in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2019. She then went on to Texas Tech University Health Science Center to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2022. Her experience is primarily in the general outpatient orthopedic setting, and she enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic injuries, athletes, and vestibular cases. She plans to attain further certification in orthopedic manual therapy to improve her skills in tailoring manual treatments and exercise prescription for better patient outcomes. Sarah is passionate about providing individualized care to each patient as each injury and person is unique.
Sarah is originally from Houston, and she currently lives in Fort Worth with her dog Liberty. In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, dancing, playing with her dog, day tripping, and trying new restaurants.
Kacie Brann PTA
Fitness Specialist
Kacie received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in 2016. After graduating she worked as a personal trainer and as a Certified Recovery Specialist before returning to further her education at Tarrant County College where she received her Associates Degree for Applied Science in 2023. Kacie is passionate about helping patients get out of pain and back to enjoying life. Kacie has worked at Ratner for the past 3 years on the wellness side as a personal trainer and is happy to transition to a more hands on position. Kacie is a Fort Worth native and in her spare time she likes to spend time with her friends and family, hike with her dog, Lily, and training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Shelly Layton PTA
Shelly has been practicing as a physical therapist assistant since May 2005, when she received her Associate Degree for Aapplied Science from Tarrant County College. She has been an outpatient orthopedic therapist for the past 13 years and went on to further her education in 2013 by becoming an ASTYM certified provider where she makes a tremendous impact helping patients regenerate soft tissues and remove unwanted scar tissue that may contribute to pain or movement dysfunctions. She loves her job as a PTA and helping her patients reach their goals and maximum potential.
Shelly is married and has 2 beautiful daughters. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family and friends, RV camping, playing soccer and being a mother.
Janet Powell
Rehabilitation Technician
Janet has been in the medical field since the early 1980’s and decided to further her knowledge in natural healing by graduating in 1995 from the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences with a specialty in massage therapy. She has completed and taken various advanced courses in Reflexology, Ayurvedic, Sports and Deep Tissue massage. In 2009 she decided to transition into the physical therapy as a rehabilitation technician.
“One of the reasons that I enjoy working with patients is knowing that I can help them have a more enjoyable time in therapy and help them reach their goals. Sometimes therapy can be tough but a smiling face, good attitude and someone they can trust goes a long way in their recovery.”
In her spare time, Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends and her two dogs Luna and Osito. She also enjoys restoring her 1970 VW Bug (2FAROUT) and riding around town like no one is watching!
Jeromy Simmons
Rehabilitation Technician
Jeromy has more than 10 years of experience as a physical therapy Rehabilitation Technician where he has assisted the therapist in providing physical therapy treatments. He has an amazing ability to connect with patients and provide excellent care. He loves to help patients improve their strength and mobility to help return them to life. Jeromy has continued his education by taking pre-requisites for school to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
Jeromy enjoys time spent with family and friends, traveling, listening to music, attending concerts and movies and trying new foods at different restaurants.
Canaan Esquivel
Rehabilitation Technician
Canaan is a Fort Worth native and in 2022 he graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. Initially he wanted to go to medical school and become a medical doctor but decided that wasn’t a good fit. After taking some anatomy courses he decided physical therapy is what he wanted to do and hasn’t looked back! Currently, he is in the process of furthering his education to become a Physical Therapist. He likes to meet and connect with patients and help them improve and get back to their normal selves. In his free time, he likes to go to church, play basketball with friends and relax with family.
Hannah Atkinson
Rehabilitation Technician
Hannah was born and raised in Fort Worth. Hannah Graduated from Tarleton State University in 2020 and has been working in Physical Therapy clinics ever since. Hannahs favorite part of the job is seeing the improvements patients make as they regain their strength and confidence from the initial treatment to their graduation. Hannah is looking forward to continuing her education in athletic training. In her off-time Hannah enjoys building 3D models, traveling to see family and scuba diving.
Sydney East
Rehabilitation Technician
Sydney graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and plans on continuing her education by obtaining her Physical Therapy Assistant certification. Sydney has always known she wanted to work in healthcare, being drawn to the physical pressures and demands of the body, looking to elevate her knowledge in helping others achieve their physical goals.
Sydney is new to Fort Worth. Sydney is married and in her off time, she enjoys going on Hikes and long walks with her dogs.
Lizzy Reyes

Lizzy was born and raised in Mexico and moved to the United States during high school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness Kinesiology from Southwestern Adventist University, graduating in 2023.
As a passionate physical therapy technician, Lizzy finds fulfillment in helping individuals regain their mobility and strength, believing that physical therapy is not just about physical recovery but also about empowering people to achieve their full potential.
She enjoys building meaningful connections with her patients, knowing that each person’s journey is unique.
Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys baking, hiking, and listening to music. She also finds joy in meeting new people and volunteering at her church, where she loves to serve her community. These hobbies reflect her caring nature and dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Brandi Gibson

Born in Texas, although Brandi has lived in multiple states, Texas is and has always been HOME. She attended Ford High School and went onto Lamar University, in Port Arthur Texas. to become a Money Marketing and Management Specialist. Brandi has worked as a manager across many industries including but not limited to Food, and several corporate retailers in her youth. Brandi started her medical career as a receptionist and worked her way through the admin and clinical positions, eventually moving into the Practice Management side nearly twenty years ago. Brandi has a passion for helping people. Brandi’s priority is to ensure that each patient that walks into the office feels welcomed and valued as they begin their healing journey. In her off-time Brandi loves crafting, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Brandi’s favorite activities include Axe Throwing, Board Games, and watching True Crime documentaries.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Graduated from Paschal High school in 2010 Chloe was in the mortgage business for over 8 years but switched to the medical field 2 years ago and it was the best choice she made. Chloe already feels like it’s a perfect fit for her because she loves to help people and treats everyone like family. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her family, cooking out, going to concerts and being with her fur babies.

Crystal is Fort Worth born and raised with more than 20 years of patient care and customer service experience. She takes pride in providing patient support and enjoys taking the extra time to ask how her patient’s day has been and getting to know them as a person, not just a patient. When not in the office she stays busy with her 4 children and family. She has 3 children in baseball and a college student.

Lisa was born in Fort Worth and raised in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Wichita High School in 1992. Lisa has been in healthcare for the last fifteen years.
Lisa has dedicated her professional career to serving others, starting out as a personal caretaker and working her way to reception.
Lisa has two children. She loves music, being outside, baking and spending time with family.
Most of all Lisa loves being a part of the Ratner team.
Sherrie Dalby
Billing Specialist
Sherrie was raised and has lived most of her life in Joshua, Texas. She has been in the healthcare field for nearly twenty years, graduating from American Technical Institute in 2001 with a Medical Assistant degree for both front and back office. For the last eight years, Sherrie has worked in billing and insurance collections in the physical therapy field. She finds fulfillment in making sure that patients get the most out of their insurance coverage and also helping them to understand their policy as clearly as possible.
Sherrie has always loved the outdoors, spending most of her childhood summers roaming her family’s ranch in Oklahoma; fishing, hiking, target practicing, and riding ATVs. She has three sons to whom she has passed down her love of outdoors, travel, animals and music, but what Sherrie loves most of all is being a mother.
