Dan Teekel, PTA
Dan’s interest in physical therapy came as the result of three bulging discs in his neck along with the debilitating pain and weakness that followed. Determined to avoid surgery at all costs, he spent hours each day stretching strengthening and researching as much as possible to figure out the best non-surgical road to recovery. As a personal trainer living in the Middle East for 5 years, he began to incorporate what he learned during his own recovery into his clients’ sessions. This led to serving individuals with disabilities in remote desert villages with training to increase strength, function and independence. Fourteen years after earning a Bachelor of Science Dan returned to school in pursuit of an Associate of Applied Science at Weatherford college to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.
